If you are thinking about selling your products or service online, stop thinking and start marketing. The success of online business depends on many factors like the product or service you are willing to sell, your target audience, target area, competition level, etc. It is the approach of marketing, which makes things easy to grab the attention of audience.

Here, I am sharing simple tips for marketing, which I have earned from my experience in achieving online marketing success.
1) Video marketing: My first preference would be video marketing. Visual contacts can easily grab the attention of viewers, so make a video and start promoting it. Before you make a video, I would like to add few suggestions. You can create tutorial video or funny video or show some tips or benefits. Don’t just push your service or product. Make something that people would find interesting, useful or humorous.

There are many video marketing platforms you can use to promote your videos like Youtube, Viemo, dailymotion, Viddler, BlipTV, Break.com, etc.
2) Blogging: I consider blogging is the most reliable platform to market your online business. Here, I find two wonderful benefits of blogging.
A) People really love to read blogs more than articles because the information is more accurate.
B) Blogging increases visibility of your website in different terms on search engines.

As a result, you get traffic and the bounce rate automatically reduces. Remember, if you are not providing anything useful for your visitors, you are not allowed to expect reduced bounce rate. Try to provide some useful tips, advice, tutorials, new features, etc. Add anything that makes your blog rich with unique content and interesting to your visitors. Let people talk about your website, which makes things popular. Popularity is the key of selling products and services. Don’t forget to share it with your friends, colleagues and other people through crowded social networks.
3) Search engine traffic: The best way to increase sales; yes, we all know it; is through search engines. It can drive huge amount of traffic to your website, if your website is listed on the front-page. There are two steps to drive visitors from search engines:
I) Paid search: If your pocket is stacked with money, you can go for paid search or PPC, which acts instantly and your website gets lots of visitors within few days. It obviously requires proper keyword research to drive traffic and increase sales. Wrong steps in the approach cost only money. So, if you are willing to start paid search advertising, you need to do analysis and research before you start the activity.

There are different tools available, which would be useful for PPC ad campaigns like Google keyword tools, word tracker, keyword spy, etc.
II) Search Traffic: Search engines drive natural traffic to your website if your website is holding top ranks with actual search terms related to your website theme. But if you think about the opposite; the chances of huge traffic are less. The real fact is driving traffic in a natural manner, which is not an easy task at all. Proper optimization is the only way out in this situation.
So, what is proper seo??
There are several definitions as different people have undergone different seo experience. There are certain simple and basic things to be followed.
1) Research with analysis of search terms
2) Seo responsive design
3) Appropriate navigation
4) Unique and Useful contents for visitors
5) Unique Titles and depictions (Meta tags)
6) Google tools implementations
7) Link building from trusted sources

Now, search engines change its algorithm from time to time, which we are aware of. If your website holds higher rank, but fails to get clicked, it becomes unable to reduce the bounce rate and may slip down the rankings.
